07:28 AM ET 10.24 | Still, there is nothing official, mind you. [But] there were plenty of signs that an injured player or two will return this weekend. The most likely is defenseman Kris Letang, a Norris Trophy finalist last season who has not played this season because of an apparent knee injury. He was paired with Rob Scuderi -- his presumed defense partner for games -- and manned a point position on the top power-play unit in practice at Southpointe. The next game is Friday at home against the New York Islanders. "In these two days of practice, it's an opportunity to move him to a different area with a different pair and put him in some power-play [drills] and some different situations like we saw in practice," coach Dan Bylsma said. ... [Bylsma] did not say that Letang will play Friday. Neither did Letang.

I'd wait until after the Penguins are humiliated by the best team in the East Saturday night to bring him back.

They're going to be humiliated by themselves? ;-)

Yeah but Fleury didn't "wilt" after that goal and they got 2 points out of that game.

Phaneuf > Chara.

That would be a joke a year ago. Not so sure anymore.

Other than hardest slapshot, a skills competition would be hilarious.

sort of the NHL's version of "Not the Top 10" (i think that's what it's called, my son looks at it from time to time...like AFV for sports)

Good idea but Disco Dan to pair up Le'Offense with a stay at home guy like Scuderi.

When high-fashion ad agency Lipman ran out of cash and abruptly closed its doors last month, former Rangers standout Sean Avery, a senior staffer, was stiffed for $229,167, court papers show.

Maybe Hank could lend him some dough?
