07:32 AM ET 10.25 | For sheer name recognition, Michigan sophomore Mitch McGary is just about everywhere he needs to be. But he's not on the court -- and there's no sign of when he will be. McGary's lower back condition remains the dark cloud hanging over U-M's basketball season, which begins with an exhibition game against Concordia next Tuesday. "I can't answer when Mitch (returns) with the date or the days," U-M coach John Beilein said at [Thursday's] Michigan basketball media day. ... "He's making great progress, but we're super cautious," Beilein said. "If he keeps making this progress, day after day, it's still day to day, one of these days he's going to have to get out there and see what he can do." Out there is the basketball court, where he's only doing stationary shooting drills.
