07:39 AM ET 10.25 | The Rangers lost again Thursday night, this time with a goaltender making his NHL debut between the pipes while the team waits for Henrik Lundqvist. [Lundqvist] skated Thursday for the first time in five days at Wells Fargo Center and said his mystery injury was "getting better," but he couldn't elaborate on his specific condition or projected availability. The Rangers' injured franchise goaltender did reveal he suffered the undisclosed injury "in the second game or so," or during a 28-save performance in a 3-1 win on Oct. 8 in Los Angeles. Still, he wouldn't disclose the problem, and couldn't say whether he'd play Saturday night in Detroit after sitting out Thursday night's game against the Flyers. Cam Talbot took over for Lundqvist in Philly.

I hope he doesn't have Timmy's Tweak (groin)

He's suffering from defense-absentia, and it's rumored that a close associate tweeted that he had a possible setback after watching the game.

Any truth to the rumour Jeoffrey Lupul calls Dustin Penner "Ironman"?

I haven't had a chance to watch a whole lot, last night I saw the 1st and 3rd periods....(studio work)m but here's what i've seen;
1) What the heck happened to DelZotto? I never thought he was going to make people forget Leetch but holy mackeral.....
2) I stand by my assertion, again, that he was while never great but certainly serviceable....brian Boyle has not been the same since he was mugged by Simon. He is so tentative it isn't funny.
3) The kid goalie looked pretty good
4) Cheap hometown goal reversal. Looked like he was moving into it.

Which allowed the Flyers to join you in the "Four Point Club".

I know you're waiting for me to say something...

The guy would be getting Team Canada consideration if he could just stay on the damn ice.

LOL - Yes I was. And there's no way Team Canada could afford the travel insurance.

Mason for Vezina!

Well he 'stoned' the Rangers.

Most of you will think I'm nuts, but I say trade him. Yes, he has been the Rangers best player since Jagr left and maybe he most valuable player in the league over that span of time, but to be honest I don't know if the Rangers need him. He is probably one of the best 3 goalies in the world, but what is the separation between those 3 and the next 15-20? I don't think it's that great. I saw Cam Talbot make huge saves last night in his first NHL start and realized that King Henrik hasn't won **** on Broadway. The Wings did it for years with Osgood, the Blackhawks are dominating with Crawford. The team is more important than 1 player, and if they can send him to a team that's desperate for goaltending and can send back a couple of talented young forwards, I say do it. He' going to want stupid money in the summer and who knows how he'll perform in the future. Couple that with the Rangers' massive struggles this year and I don't think it seems so crazy. The Oilers traded Gretzky, anything can happen.

Not crazy at all. I have long said that throwing "stupid money" at a goalie is a really, really bad use of the Cap (all hail the Cap!)

As you said, separation isn't that great to justify using a disproportionate percentage of the Cap on a goalie

Sit him for a few. I bet Howard doesn't play either. The Bruins pulled one off last night, with .08 left on the clock.
