03:50 PM ET 10.25 | In the NBA, it has become a common trend to see superstars leave their current team in favor of joining another star player to form a dynamic one-two punch, so you shouldn't be surprised when there are rumblings that a player could be leaving his team. This year's free agency class will be loaded with star talent if they opt out of their current deals, but for some reason Jalen Rose began discussing a player who is under contract through the 2016 season - Kevin Durant. Rose predicted that Durant will leave the Oklahoma City Thunder as soon as possible to join the Houston Rockets. Well, now Durant has responded and he is clear that he loves Oklahoma City and has no plans to leave.

he answered it perfectlyQ: Did you hear what Jalen Rose said about the Houston thing?A: Yep.Do you have any thoughts on that?Nah, I???m here for the Thunder (laughs). I mean, that???s all I can say. I???m not thinking far down the line at all. It???s about today. Today we got better against the Chicago Bulls. I can???t tell the future. I can???t speak on that. That???s his opinion. I???m just going to keep playing for the Thunder. I love playing here.People probably will continue to say that for the next three years.Unfortunately.How do you deal with that?I mean, just let them know I???m not thinking that far down the line, I guess. I mean, I love my teammates. I love where I live. I love playing for this organization. So I???m just taking it a day at a time.

I agree he handled it well, but the more you open your mouth, the media starts spinning it, and keeps asking , prodding more and more, and there is a likelihood of saying even something remotely "spicy" they'll run with it.
I prefer players saying " I'm not commenting on FA or trades, only game ball questions....next.."

We know you miss Harden bro...
And if OKC doesn't get KD a legit sixth man and a center that can score the basketball I can picture him bolting OKC.

Yup, perfect answers. That's a way better answer than saying I'm testing free agency for the first time in my life and I want to enjoy it.

Shaq handled it perfectly ??He was gone the next year !!Shows everyone how much truth there was to his statement that Orlando was his first choice !!Hahaha.

Orlando was Shaq's first choice, things just didn't work out. He and Penny weren't to friendly at the end there and he found it better for a change of scenery.
