11:00 AM ET 10.26 | Rodney Harrison will be part of the crew that will be working this Sunday's game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers from the NBC studios. While it was expected that the Vikings were going to give Josh Freeman a chance to make amends for the disaster we saw on Monday night at MetLife Stadium, it was revealed a couple of days later that he had a concussion, and the Vikings said they would, instead, start Christian Ponder at quarterback for the "Border Battle." Harrison questioned Freeman's concussion: "I can't say that I believe he has a concussion. I can't say I'm 100% sold out. I'm not trying to doubt the seriousness of his injury if he has one, but it just seems like a convenient excuse to get out of a situation." "I played safety at a high level for a long time and I was bangin' and I never missed a game because of a concussion so it just seems like an excuse to me."

It's the Vikings' front office that needs to be checked for concussions.

Next he will blame Bush for his lack of skills at QB.

Rodney is an ssAhole, nothing more to say!

Harrison was formerly one of the dirtiest players in the game. I heard an interview this morning on the way to work where he defended Merriwether.

His opinion means less than $***.

If Rodney has thoughts along those lines than he should keep them to himself.

The team's medical staff makes the final call on a player's availability. Concussion problems are a major concern for the NFL.

Rodney never was a guy that kept his thoughts to himself. He always thought he was a better player than most people thought.

Schiano was right about Freeman. Give him that much.

October 26, 2013  11:54 AM ET

The Vikings might be smart to sit Freeman until he learns the team's offensive schemes. Ponder isn't a good QB but may be a better option at this time.

Schiano has one foot on a banana peel and the other out the door.

Vikings management with the exception of Adrian Peterson has been abysmal in drafting quality players and have thrown money at questionable free agents from other teams to fill positions of need. They should hire a more competent GM and upgrade their scouting system.

OK. Possible, I suppose. some of that has to fall on Freeman though. I think.

Just asking. Have not heard any un named players from the Bucs crying over Freeman being out there. did I miss something?

Interesting thought, but maybe they're staying silent to keep their jobs, or waiting what the NFLPA complaint/investigation uncovers about alleged leaks.
