According to the grades from National Scouting, Inc., the top-rated senior runner is Ben Malena of Texas A&M, and his grade, 5.6, basically equates to that of a third-rounder. Three other backs -- Arizona State's Marion Grice, DeNarius McGhee of Montana State and LaDarius Perkins of Mississippi State -- all are close behind with 5.5 grades. I

It all boils down to less $$$$ for the RBs.

Wow. I like Malena and think he can be a contributor at the next level, but I never would have guessed he was the top rated senior at the position. Makes me think it's a pretty thin year at RB.

As the year wears on Carlos Hyde impresses more and more. Though he has another year (red shirt senior) I would guess that he will go first round. Remember that he missed the first 3 games (suspension).

Hill from LUS will be one of the first RBs to go off the board, once he declares

Probably, but the story was just talking about seniors. :)

Malena runs low and behind his pads. Great for an every-down back but unfortunately those types don't last long in the no fun league.

Way too many. After all, the 'E' in ESPN stands for 'entertainment'.

He isn't big enough to be an every down back. 5'9", about 190.

I think he's very similar to Ahmad Bradshaw. He runs tough and can pick up the tough yardage.

JJones tried to turn Felix into an every-down back, didn't work. He's trying to ruin Joseph Randle's career too.
