Lin not changing his game

07:14 AM ET 10.28 | The clock ticks for Rockets coach Kevin McHale, who has dwindling time to decide his lineup options. [His] point guards said they will be careful not to change their style or mentality in either way whether starting or coming off the bench. In Jeremy Lin's case, that determination extends to whether playing point guard or shooting guard. "Just attack," Lin said. "Just be aggressive. I don't try to change anything. I think I get in trouble when I try to change my game. I'm just trying to be consistent. With different lineups, you will have different looks. But that doesn't mean you stop attacking." Patrick Beverley has provided a jolt of energy when coming off the bench, especially defensively, but said that is as important when starting to set a defensive tone.

He should change his game for the better. If the results is not good w/ the same game than it's time to make some changes to continue to get better. Bad mindset...

After watching a lot of the rockets pre-season games, its starting to look more and more like Beverly is going to replace Lin in the starting lineup. Lin definitely attacks a lot in the open court/fast break type situations, but rather struggles in the half court. Attacks, but then turns it over when he gets stuck. As Drexler would say "when you commit to a drive, you've gotta have a back up plan".

Lin is actually better off coming as a sub. He'll play 2nd string guys, and reduced pressure as such. He can keep driving, get fouled and go make some free throws, no need to shoot.

With his paycheck, you can't lower his pressure. The poison pill in his contract will remind everyone about his pressures.

Lin is already playing to his abilities.

What is he supposed to do, when he's alreeady playing to his limit.

As with any athlete, he only has 'so much' potential.

Once he reaches it.....that's all there is. All the 'change' in the world ain't gonna allow him to play past his potential.

12-6
That will be his averages this year...
Should be more than adequate

He did that last year (13 and 6).

No reason he why can't repeat that. Especially given the added inside presence of D.Howard.
