07:17 AM ET 10.28 | So, this is where Kevin Durant has decided to set the bar as he enters his seventh NBA season. [Durant] left no doubt where his mindset is as he enters his seventh NBA season. It was as clear as the sweat-stained imprint the back of his No. 35 practice jersey left on that leather seat. "I want to be the greatest," Durant said. "I want to be remembered as one of the greatest. When they redo that top 50 players (of all time), I want to be a part of that." Make no mistake. In Durant's eyes, that's not solely an individual achievement. He's over those. Winning, he says, is how he defines greatness. "This whole thing is a fraternity. But it's a different fraternity when you're staring at a group of guys that won championships, MVPs, and you can say you're on that level with them in your career," Durant said.

It is nice to have a goal. He is already one of the best players in the NBA. His team just needs to start winning championships...when that happens, he will be mentioned in that group of greatest of all time. Keep working on your game, Kevin, your time will come.

It's a great goal but that shouldn't be brought up until he starts winning MVPs and championships. Even DRose might be ahead of him because of the MVP. It's tough when Lebron is still playing and has a great team to keep other players away from those championships.

QUOTE(#9):

Bird was a great defender. His all time defensive rating is higher than Jordan, Kobe, Magic. His post defense and his team defense put him higher overall.

Thanks for backing me up last night. I saw the other tread last night, you were setting Eli straight. He's too much of a Kobe fanatic that he doesn't see the future of the Lakers. It will pass and they'll get over Kobe. A new superstar will rise for them but being loyal to the team should be their #1 option.

QUOTE(#12):

Eli is a good guy. He just gets defensive easily. I knew where you were coming from. You weren't trying to be a hater.

I know. He has been getting very defensive since last year. Not the same old Eli. There's hatred and bitterness in his words..:lol

He'll be back...

Just keep improving, KD... the naysayers will have a tough time defending themselves.
