07:22 AM ET 10.29 | Heading into this past weekend, there was some speculation Clay Buchholz might not even start -- and yet he gave the Red Sox enough to help them pick up a crucial win in Game 4. In fact, Buchholz plans on being ready to pitch again in this Fall Classic should his services be needed out of the bullpen. Though he has been dealing with shoulder fatigue, Buchholz knows that, like all of his teammates, he will soon have weeks to rest up. "He's already offered," said Red Sox manager John Farrell. "So yes, he would be available. Based on the way he came out of [Sunday] night, he even said it to me, 'I'll be in here tomorrow getting ready for the next possible opportunity'. But by no means has he shut anything down mentally or physically."

I saw Buch pitch against Toronto in the last homestand and he looked OK, picked up the loss due to crummy defense...surprised that he's been so fragile now. Hopefully he won't be needed...

QUOTE(#4):

AgreedOne of my gripes about the 2007 team was that they were lazy and had the benefit of turning it on when they wanted to but typically coasted

I can't believe they let Manny play his DS in left field, the dugout was bad enough.

QUOTE(#8):

hear things really went south with him when Tito limited DS time to 30 mins

That's when Manny picked up Tito and threw him clear out of the stadium and he crashed onto a table at the Cask N Flagon.
Some people claimed roid rage, but I say nah.

QUOTE(#12):

That doesn't sound like 'roid rage to me. More realistic is Manny was cut off in traffic and being the stickler for details we all know him to be, he became frustrated out of fear of being late to the team chapel service, and displayed some typical passive-aggressive behavior

Manny didn't get cut off too much because he usually drove on the sidewalk to avoid traffic.
It wasn't as bad as it sounds, his pimped-out Barbie Dream Car wasn't much of a threat to pedestrians.

I think Doubrount would be the game 7 starter. With that tired arm, Buchholz would best be used as a one batter situational lefty, but no more than an inning.
