06:00 PM ET 10.29 | Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose will make his much-anticipated return to the court on Tuesday night when his Bulls take on the Miami Heat. Rose, who missed the entirety of the 2012-13 season, told reporters this week that he's improved his basketball IQ during his time away from the court. It goes without saying that Rose's return will be one of the biggest ongoing stories of the upcoming NBA season. His decision to rehab his knee for the whole year in 2012 was a controversial one, as some Chicago fans and NBA analysts felt he was being selfish. Every single misstep and poor game from Rose will be over-analyzed to death, so buckle in and get ready for a wild ride courtesy of the sports media.

i think it is fair to say that most people think that Rose's real IQ needs improving much more than his basketball IQ.

REtiredArmy- GREAT call on Rose improved 3 pt shooting during the preseason!

it translated to 1-7 last night! Sure looks like he is well on his way to Ray Allen and Reggie Miller on the all-time list! LOL

until Rose can learn how to shoot- they will not beat Miami- it is as simple as that. You just have to guard Rose to drive and sag off of him. It sure looked like the same old story last night.

Come To LA, Bro.

I hate it when players talk. Just let your play do the talking. You looked good physically last night but all of these talks are backfiring on you. Were you smarter last night?

Please help me out with this statement: "Until Kyrie learns how to (fill in the blank) - they will not win more than 25 games in a season - it is as simple as that!"

I was thinking get his teammates more involved? Or make other people better? Bring it night in and night out? Care as much as he does about the Uncle Drew commercials (which are spectacular, by the way). What do you think?

It is true, but he needs to improve his shooting on perimeter and midrange..
That will complete his basketball IQ.

and not have his team blown out in the first half

He was on the bench for the better part of that 'blowout'.....along with Deng, Butler and Noah.

Huh?

His shooting, or any lack there-of, has nothing to do with "basketball IQ".....

the correct answer is-

develop. He is 21

in the first two seasons of LeBron's, Durant's and CP3's career- they ALL MISSED THE PLAYOFFS

Kyrie is right on track

Basketball IQ is making decisions not only to a game but to yourself.
If he decides to improve his outside shooting because he thinks he lacks on that, and it produce a positive outcome, he will benefit on that.
