06:09 PM ET 10.29 | The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had a disastrous start to the 2013-14 regular season after a complete overhaul of their secondary, while big money acquisition Darrelle Revis has been less than stellar in his early performance. A large part of Revis' decline in play has been the team using him in the wrong way, so many were wondering if they would realize their error. Of course, they have Greg Schiano running the show, so we weren't expecting much. However, Schiano has finally realized that using Revis in zone coverage doesn't play to his strengths and they have decided it is time to start playing the former All-Pro in man-to-man coverage more often. Schiano has realized that playing people away from their strengths hurts players performances, so his plan is to use more press-man coverage on the outsides. If everyone stays healthy, Revis will be facing Mike Wallace, Roddy White, Calvin Johnson and Steve Smith in his next five outings, so they need their No. 1 corner to return to shutdown form.

They only wasted about $8M of his salary by putting him in zone coverage. Now that they understand square peg doesn't go in round hole they may be looking at too little too late on morale.

Revis Island wasn't a big enough clue on how to use him to TB?

As a doorstop? For target practice? As a lab animal for testing cosmetics?

Great Coaching Schiano....

I heard the ESPN Analyst point this out 3 weeks ago. We must have been watching the same show.

Interns should realize that there is probably a picture of Revis in a Bucs uniform somewhere in the cloud...

Probably a Jets fan trying to hold on to the memories.

Schiano is a moron. He thinks coaching in the NFL is the same as bullying 18-20 year old athletes in college. He'll be fired the day the season ends.

Oh I'm sure several of them knew that, but weren't going to say anything. You contradict Schiano and he screams at you for 20 minutes.

I don't think so Otis. He's been pretty invisible so far.
