07:24 AM ET 10.30 | Being Cardinals and all, flight references resonated in the midst of travel snafus on Tuesday in St. Louis. What should have been a routine afternoon jaunt to start the final road trip of the 2013 season, instead left the Cardinals to spend more than seven hours as flightless birds. Their Delta charter plane to Boston -- and tonight's Game 6 of a World Series they trail three games to two -- had mechanical difficulties, stranding the Cardinals, team officials, staff, and many families on the tarmac at Lambert Field. Grounded, the Cardinals awaited a new flight plan. ... [Said Michael Wacha:] "Nobody is in a bad mood or anything like that. The attitude is pretty good." The altitude, however, remained an issue until the Cardinals boarded a new plane and got wheels up shortly after 8 p.m. St. Louis time.

The altitude remained an issue while they were still grounded???

Delta's typically delayed/late even when their planes are working.

If the Cardinals lose tonight they have an excuse already lined up. It was Delta's fault we got in late and not enough sleep.

The stars are lining up for the Red Sox. Cardinals will be sleep-deprived and edgy after arriving in Bsn at 11PM.

You mean Delate?
Yeah, they act like on time performance is about as important as passenger comfort.
