Bobby Kielty spent the entire offseason waiting to see what the Red Sox would do with Coco Crisp . And while Kielty finally got a new contract from the Sox on Feb. 5, the anticipation and uncertainty remain. Crisp is still a member of the Red Sox, and Kielty continues to wonder where he fits in.

What exactly is this guys issue?

You have your contract now Bobby. You just worry about playing well when you get on the field and let the Red Sox worry about the thinking.....

Looking at this picture of Kielty tell me he wouldn't be the perfect "poster boy" for The Big Red Machine !!!

That photo made me ill.,...... if it was taken SINCE the world series, then I am profoundly troubled,..... Coco, we need ya, buddy.....

Okay,.... I'm seriously trying to think my way through this..... Back me up here, folks,..... Here goes...

Coco stays with the Sox. He spells each outfielder one day every week or so,... and provides a late-inning defensive sub for Manny. Fills in for injuries. Pinch hits and especially pinch runs. If anything happens to DH Ortiz,.... Manny could be shifted to the DH and Coco fills out a solid outfield. Besides, he's be sort of platooning with Ellsbury at first, anyway. His switch-hitting could be important, too. I could see Coco getting into nearly a hundred games,,..... and that ain't really ridin' the pine,..... that's playing a precisely-planned role in a system,... working class hero,.... I'd love to see it go this way.
