07:32 AM ET 10.31 | Justin Verlander, a man with nearly singular talent, is working on a nearly singular garage among baseball players. A noted car enthusiast, Verlander added another beauty to his impressive car collection earlier this month -- a 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series. ... With an estimated price of $250,000 and fewer than 200 transported to the United States, the SLS Black is considered arguably the most expensive Mercedes of the moment. ... According to Ben Verlander, the "only other one like it on the East Coast is (owned by) some guy named Michael Jordan." Verlander's newest addition joins his notable collection, which includes a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, a Ferrari 458 Italia, a Mercedes-Benz SL55, a Maserati Gran Turismo, and an Aston Martin DBS.

I am sure his insurance agent has Verlander on his Christmas card list, and a very hefty chunk of coin going to his bank account.

A very astute move on his part considering that it will only appreciate in value.....just don't let Lance Briggs borrow it

So he has lots of money...big whoop! It is not like he is collecting antique cars and restoring them. That would be a bit of a story.

No car collection is complete without owning a Bugatti Veyron.

He does not own those cars, they own him.

He turned that one back into the dealer. The front end was constantly out of alignment.
