07:40 AM ET 10.31 | With Sergei Fedorov, consider it a full house. The former Detroit Red Wings star is the fifth and final member of the "Russian Five" to commit to playing in December's alumni games leading up to the Winter Classic between the Wings and the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Wings announced Fedorov's decision this morning. Fedorov will join countrymen Igor Larionov, Slava Kozlov, Slava Fetisov and special guest Vladimir Konstantinov on the Wings' roster that will take on former Maple Leafs greats in a doubleheader Dec. 31 at Comerica Park in Detroit. Now a 43-year-old general manager with the KHL's CSKA Moscow, Fedorov won three Stanley Cups in 13 seasons with the Wings. His Russian team is off from Christmas till Jan. 3, allowing him to come back to Detroit to play.

I am a little surprised that the greatest TOR defenceman of all time hasn't committed yet. But then again, which team would he suit up for?

Of course I am referring to HOFer, Borje Salming

A certain potential UFA D-man doesn't want the To***to fans reminded of what a real defenseman looks like.

The fans are drinking the Kool-Aid, man. Guys who a couple weeks ago said they couldn't afford him and if they even tried to they'd be crazy are now saying "He's signing. He's good. He scores 40-50 pts a year why the hell would they let him go?"

When I reminded them of the pinch, they all shut up rather quickly. See what I deal with on a daily basis?

I very familiar with it Danny. I've been dealing with it for over 50 years. :-)

Speaking of pinches, Krug looked absolutely Dion-like on PITs second goal last night.

The Avs were looking for a guy who knows how to play hockey and the Flyers were looking for another thug. Unfortunately now Pittsburgh has to put up with Downie whenever they beat the Flyers.
