05:03 PM ET 11.01 | If Carmelo Anthony would choose to do so, he could end up as a free agent next summer and pass up more than $23 million to remain with the New York Knicks. There are plenty of people who believe Anthony will be looking to join another superstar for his next contract, but perhaps we all jumped the gun in thinking Anthony would test the market. During a recent interview with TNT before the Knicks Halloween matchup with the Chicago Bulls, Anthony let out the big news that Knicks fans had been hoping to hear - he wants to retire as a member of the New York Knicks.
