08:05 AM ET 11.02 | Semyon Varlamov, arrested this week after allegations from his girlfriend, started and played well in getting the Avs to OT. He stopped 26-of-28 shots in regulation, allowing two third-period goals after the Avs started sitting back too much with the early lead. "I don't want to comment about anything regarding the process," Varlamov said. "At the same time, I want to thank the Colorado Avalanche, the whole team, for their support. I ask that everybody reserve their judgments and not rush into conclusions." Varlamov did not seem haggard or weary from the events of the past couple of days, and even cracked a smile or two with teammates afterward. Still, it hasn't been easy, and there figure to be more distractions ahead.

You could say that was an "arresting" performance.

Varlamov said, ".... I ask everybody reserve their judgments and no rush to conclusions ... because in Russia, we call such actions "romance."

They beat the Stars.

It's not like he had much to worry about on the ice.

They gave it a good show. So far the only team to beat them have been those Hot Wings:)

Yes, or the ''if I can't have you, no one can '' syndrome.

Lehtonen continues to keep the Stars in games. We have one good D-Line (Dillon/Robidas).

I was at my grandson's HS football game so I got to listen to some of the game. Didn't put much pressure on Varlamov. He had clean looks most of the night.

Still a work in progress...

Apparently his girlfriend manages to put more pressure on him than all the Stars forwards. :-)

Speaking of charm: The police report also says that Varlamov told her that if they were in Russia, he would have beat her more.

Older brother. He's coming along too. Has a chance to be a solid #2 or #3 line defenseman.

Both those Benn kids seem to have their heads screwed on right.
