09:57 AM ET 11.03 | Oliver Luck has begun the athletic director interview process at Texas, sources familiar with the process said. A decision could happen this week but is more likely to occur after Texas' football game at West Virginia on Saturday if Luck is indeed the pick, a source confirmed. Luck, the West Virginia athletic director, remains at the top of the list to replace DeLoss Dodds. Two other athletic directors -- Arizona State's Steve Patterson and Arkansas' Jeff Long -- are also scheduled to interview with the eight-member advisory committee. Unless something dramatically changes, those are the three finalists.

Whatever.

The DMN gives more coverage to UTx and aTm than the local teams SMU and TCU. DMN should let the Austin paper have this.

It could be a bit uncomfortable before the WV game for Texas to announce that they were hiring WV's AD. Good idea to wait until after the game. Fewer burned couches.

Luck = TX AD = money.

Does Andrew have any eligibility left? Will he submit a cloning "specimen" to a willing Texas cheerleader?

Why mix stud genes with airhead genes?
A willing volleyball player would be better.

A one question interview I suspect. " Who you thinking of replacing Mack with?"

November 3, 2013  12:15 PM ET

Geez, just get the fake search over with and give him the job.

Tell you what LUS, we better get a steady diet of LUS/Gump threads this week. I got plenty of microwave popcorn and am looking forward to the smack.

There are even more Red Raiders in the metroplex than those. See TT stuff all over the place when I'm visiting the kids/grands.

Seriously, UTx, offer outrageous sums to coax Joan Cronan back into being an AD. Have the Longhorns a cappella group sing 'T for Texas' to her via FaceTime. Let her cap the years of her service and offer her a voice in deciding her replacement. She's the best darn AD of the past 30 years.

Was gonna "fix this", but it was too easy.

Good win over Kansas....told you Case was a winner.

For someone who pretends to "know" sports, you whiffed on this one. The next Texas head football coach has already been selected. The signed, sealed and delivered parts are a formality which will be concluded when Mack Brown retires after this season. And, believe it or not, Oliver Luck had no say in it. Even though he will be the new A.D.
