Chemistry an issue between stars in Miami

07:22 AM ET 11.04 | Miami entered the week on the heels of a Sunday win, but the previous week wasn't all kind to the defending champs. [Heat] stars Dwyane Wade and LeBron James admitted that some minor chemistry issues have contributed to the shaky start. "Let me give you an example," Wade said prior to Sunday's game, which the Heat won 103-93 to even their record at 2-2. "If you're in a relationship with a woman for a long time, you start getting comfortable. You stop doing the little things that you should do, that you did in the beginning. It's just like a relationship. We got a little comfortable. Now we have to get back on that edge a little bit." Neither Wade nor James referred to one another directly, with both suggesting the entire team needed time to get reacquainted coming off last season's championship run.

I think they will be just fine....Didnt they start out a little slow last year as well?

Yep.....they did, IIRC.

It's Hard To Three-Peat, Bro.

They're not getting divorced that's for sure. Lebron just got married and we're talking about rocky relationship...

What lebron is trying to say is he's tired of carrying wade on his back the last few years. Kidding, there's nothing to see here we are like 3-4 games into the year. The heat have added afew new faces so there will be an adjustment peroid, but short of lebron tearing his ACL, this is still the best team in the east and NBA.

For the heat, the regular season is 100% meaningless.....

Unless they go 1-81.........

OK......2-80.

David Stern should probably disband the Heat immediately. They're a disgrace to the league. I think the Championship should be awarded to Brooklyn today and cancel the remainder of the season. What an idiotic posting.

They have started slow each of the 3 years together.

All is good, I think you will see them rounding into form around mid season.

All that matters for the Heat is a #1 or #2 seed and as deep as the East is this season all of the top teams are going to beat up on each other for a bit.

Spot on, which is why you will see a lot of rest for Wade during the season and they will bring Oden along super slow.

My guess is somewhere around Jan you will see more of what their final rotation will be...which was similar to last year when Birdman got signed and worked in slow.

So is the regular season 100% meaningless.....or is "All that matters for the Heat is a #1 or #2 seed"?

I mean.....it can't be both.

Team chemistry is pretty important afterall....thank goodness RW was back for the Thunder last night or we could have had another loss. Good Monday morning all.

I can't believe he came back so soon. I thought Kobe or Rondo was going to come back before him. That was close win and wouldn't have won w/out RW.

Wade's knees will give out any day now and the problem will be solved.
