06:48 AM ET 11.05 | The Los Angeles Lakers paid a small ransom to bring Steve Nash to Southern California when they acquired him from the Phoenix Suns two years ago, but it's possible that relationship is already on the fritz. According to reports, the Lakers could be entertaining the thought of trading Nash with the Toronto Raptors as a potential landing spot.

Why would Toronto want him now? Are they stupid?

PR move. He's a Coach on the Canadian team, I believe.

It would sell a bunch of tickets since he's Canadian. The prodigal son returns to his homeland!!!

How much is a 40yr injured PG worth a 2020 second round pick and scraps? Lakers should do it anyway. They have enough Pg's and they are going nowhere. No need to pay him next year and I am sure he is comtemplating retiring a la Kidd did.

I don't know who would want him, he's 40 and can't turn back the clock. He should accept a "buy out" and retire a Sun.

He's an icon in Canada. Just him being part of the team will bode well for their PR and marketing. From a basketball perspective he can still be effective for 15 - 20 mins off the bench...

Lakers made a bad deal for Nash.
