Al Jefferson to Chicago?

07:24 AM ET 11.06 | As the Eastern Conference shapes up, many put the Bulls in a place to beat the Heat, and not because of their forward lineup. [There] are only a handful of big men in the NBA that can really trouble the Heat on offense and none of them are likely available. The best realistic trade for one might be something along the lines of Joakim Noah for Al Jefferson, and I have to be honest, the thought of a Jefferson/Boozer front court doesn't leave me smiling and thinking championship. Given that getting a dominant inside presence on the offensive side seems like a stretch, can the Bulls defeat the Heat with the types of players they do have? Can a team beat Miami without a dominant inside presence? Yes. Yes they can. How do we know? The only team to do so lacked a highly skilled interior big man.

Jefferson took the free agent money to Charlotte over everything else. Chicago need consistent low post offense, I don't know if moving Joakim is the answer because he does have a presence defensively, but the Bulls have to improve in the low post and provide help for Boozer and an reliable option for Rose.

You move Noah and you lost that defensive presence. The problem is that Noah is always injured.

Had the bulls gotten Monta Ellis like I said at the beginning....
But bulls fans and others laughed at that notion, now he is balling for the mavs...
Boozer must truly be the #2.

If they move Noah out, they can't beat the Heat. Because Noah's presence inside give the Heat a lot of problems.
Bulls need to lower Noah's minutes in order to sustain until playoffs.
Gibson & Dunleavy are nice to rotation.

they still can't beat the heat now!
Who is gonna take the pressure off of Rose in the playoffs?
Butler?
Deng?
Boozer who chokes in the playoffs?

Uh. Charlotte just signed Al Jefferson to a 3 year deal... And he's only played one game thus far 4 games in. In what world would he be traded for Noah? Chicago needs some better bloggers or needs to stop eating all that deep dish pizza.

Chicago needs a legit second scoring option for Rose preferably at SG but could be SF. They are hedging all bets on defense against Miami, Indy, Brooklyn in the playoffs. I am not sure they can count on their defense alone to save them. They missed out on the serviceable roll players and didn't keep Nate because of the logjam at point. I think they will just see how deep they can get with what they have and Deng will not be re-signed

They can beat the Heat if Noah's healthy and this Bulls 2013-14 roster.
This is a very tough season for Heat because Pacers, Bulls and Nets can beat then in the playoffs.

Signing Monte Ellis had (has) it's risks.

1. Ellis is a low efficiency scorer. He jacks up shots recklessly.....and for the numbers of 3-pointers he chucks-up, his 3-point shooting is horrendous.

2. Ellis' defense is even worse than his 3-point shooting. 'Nuff said about that.

3. Ellis is a chronic malcontent; no real contender needs the crap he brings.

He's playing well for Dallas.....good place for him......he can stay there!!

November 6, 2013  11:51 AM ET

BTW.....Noah for Al Jefferson? That's laughable!

Game changer:

Chicago Bulls star point guard Derrick Rose says the NBA told him he has to stop wearing the tape he has been putting on the back of his neck to keep it loose during games.

November 6, 2013  01:08 PM ET

1. Noah is a MUCH better player than Al Jefferson. No way the Bulls make that trade.
2. Monta isn't a good fit for the Bulls. They need a 2 guard in the mold of Klay Thompson - young, can spread the floor and can create his own shot.
3. Boozer balled out in the playoffs last year for the Bulls.
4. If the Bulls are going to look at a frontcourt player, the only one they should be looking at is K. Love.

So far I haven't seen any of those 3 analysis come into fruition. I'm not even sure if he is a malcontent. He sure led the Bucks in assists last year while playing SG...
