07:21 AM ET 11.06 | Forgive Jan Vesely for feeling a little less-than-loved in Washington, where he has yet to play a minute in three games and where the Wizards let the Halloween deadline pass without picking up his fourth-year option. Even before deciding to make him a free agent next summer, the Wizards sent the 7-foot Vesely the most obvious message that it lacked trust in his development when they acquired veteran center Marcin Gortat from Phoenix in exchange for Emeka Okafor and a first-round pick. "Start of the season, I don't play much but I feel much better." Vesely said. "It's hard coming after this summer, coming after Eurobasket and I play like I play, and come here and just doesn't happen. It's part of this job. You have to step back sometimes when coach wants to try some things with other guys."

QUOTE(#2):

he should feel that way-anyone with an ounce of self respect shouldbut obviously he's likely not getting it done in practice, so....

He showed promising signs in the preseason. I think it 's just bad coaching and management. They just need to trade the guy.

Agree with you 1000%, he'll get traded to a team that will actually use him properly and do better there.

He actually was impressive in the preseason and Eurobasketball in a couple games I watched him. The coach isn't playing him because he has other options and the GM is not forcing his hand to develop him during games. He is an athlethic 7fter who can't shoot and is not a center. He is a tweener probably best suited playing some SF but more PF. They just have better options in the post and I agree they should trade him but I wouldn't be surprised if he goes back to Europe to play

He's not getting it done in the games, either.....8 points and 8 rebounds per 36 minutes played....plus....his barely 'OK' defense, means he's exactly where he belongs.

Said the Bench - "yeah, well at least I'm not terrible at my job"
