07:19 AM ET 11.07 | In Andre Drummond and Roy Hibbert, there were nearly 600 pounds of human jockeying for position when the Pistons lost to the Pacers Tuesday. It was a wonderful inside battle that reminded you of the 1970s and 1980s in the NBA, when giant gladiators fought for position in the paint. There were some jabs during the game, but Hibbert saved the biggest one for after. "To tell you the truth I was a fan of his until tonight," Hibbert said Tuesday. ... "He has a tremendous future, but I was a fan of his. I thought he was supposed to have a breakout year this year. Best of luck to him. He can dunk the ball real well and he can block shots and he can rebound. He is going to have a bright future -- but I was a fan of his." Hibbert doesn't like yapping on the court. Drummond knows that and admits to trying to agitate him.

Hibbert needs to grow a thicker skin anf let that crap just slide of his back.

Bottom line.....the Pacers won that game. Instead of sulking, Hibbert should've just laughed in the young guys' face.

Sounds to me like he has a very thick skin. He outplayed the kid and only said something after the game.... He said the guy has a future but he does not like his tactics... Don't see how that is sulking....

Every other line was a whine......"but I was a fan.....

The proper response would have taken place DURING the game.....when he'd direct the kid's attention to the scoreboard and advise him to shut the he-ll up until he could do something about the score.

But to go around whining about how he 'used to be a fan' of a loud mouth, 2nd year, 20 year-old? S-M-H.

This is the NBA... almost everybody talks trash.... It's the nature of the game.

Sounds like he's whining and ripping on Drummond's game which is amusing because in year two Hibbert was a lesser player than Drummond is right now.

I don't think he much ripping on Drummond's game.....but you are correct; Drummond's overall game is further along....AND....he's a younger year-two player than Hibbert.
