07:18 AM ET 11.08 | Christian Ponder earned more than a few fans Thursday night, courtesy a mad dash to the end zone that left him with a dislocated left shoulder. Ponder never removed his helmet and tossed several warm-up balls to trainer Eric Sugarman on the sideline. But the team's medical staff consulted and directed Ponder to the locker room. ... His left arm in a sling, Ponder vowed after the game to return when the Vikings play at Seattle Nov. 17. He will have additional tests Friday. "My expectations are I'm going to be back next week," Ponder said. "At first I didn't know what was going on. It popped back into place and I was able to move it fine and so I thought maybe I'd have a chance to go in. Probably smart not for me to go. We have a more than capable quarterback in Matt to go out there and win a game for us."

If your "Great White Hope" is Christian Ponder, you might want be serious need of drafting more wisely next Spring.

QUOTE(#2):

Washington lost to the Vikings? how embarrassing.

It was a seriously odd game. Mostly seemed that RGIII was smacking the Vikes like a redheaded stepchild and then somehow the 'skins lost lost.

Didn't watch any of it. but I do know the Skins gad a decent lead when I got home from work.

And then - they stopped running the football.

Again.

Yup.

When will that Coaching Staff ever learn.

Props to the Vikings for not giving up.

Hail to the Redskins!!

November 8, 2013  08:41 AM ET

Both teams equally bad I thought....both defenses were like paper. rgiii took a lot of shots not sure how he's gonna last if that keeps up

November 8, 2013  09:17 AM ET

Ponder did not look all that bad last night......to bad about the shoulder tho.

RG3 better get a little more protection or his career will be a short one.

The second half collapse by the Skins was a full team effort. The OL couldn't stop a tackling dummy, RGIII held the ball about a half-second too long (maybe he should change his name to RG2.5), and his receivers had a couple of critical drops. Not a fan but I did pick them to win, so I am disappointed and a little poorer today.

The Vikings almost beat the Cowboys. It took a late touch down with only seconds remaining for the Cowboys win. JJ would have went ballistic had the Cowboys lost to the Vikings.

All true.

Skins have given up leads in a lot of their recent games.

At thus point it's on the Coaching staff.
