Phillies already have offers out (to Cruz?)

07:25 AM ET 11.08 | Credit Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. for working quickly. "We've already made offers on several players," Amaro said from Arizona, where he is watching some of the organization's top young talent participate in the Arizona Fall League. Amaro, who declined to divulge names, has shown that he can be aggressive. ... Knowing that there is a lack of power hitters available, Amaro is perhaps making a push to sign one, as the team needs right-handed hitters. Nelson Cruz, 33, fits the bill, although he served a 50-game suspension last season and is not a defensive stalwart. Amaro has stressed that the Phils need to improve their outfield defense. Carlos Beltran and Michael Morse also are free agents, and the Phillies have tried to acquire them in the past.

It is beginning to sound like Ruben you are becoming desperate in Philly talking about trading for Price which you do not need and thinking that Cruz is the best outfielder in the free agent market.

thinking Nelson Cruz would be the answer in Phillies outfield?
think again, Cruz is a roider offender and would be a blind spot for the team!

Nelson is trying to figure out just how hard to toss the ball to make a fan in the upper deck reach for it and fall to his death (Hambone style).
