Kingsbury's uniform control clause

07:29 AM ET 11.08 | Kliff Kingsbury's impact on Texas Tech, his alma mater, has been nearly immediate, and visible in more ways than one. As a whole, the team has seemingly embraced the Kingsbury spirit -- a little bit unorthodox, a little bit cocky, very much successful. And as part of Kingsbury's contract with Texas Tech, officially completed in February, the Red Raiders will soon inherit the first-year coach's fashion sense. Written into the contract is an agreement allowing Kingsbury "creative license" in the design of the football team's uniforms, which are supplied by the clothing and apparel company Under Armour. If Kingsbury and Texas Tech's athletic director -- currently Kirby Hocutt -- agree on the uniform design, Kingsbury then has "sole discretion" on choosing when his team dons specific uniform combinations.

Need to worry more about winning the next few games than the unis.

That said, it will definitely help on the recruiting trail.

I like Stanford's unis. I'm old school. Besides, if the program culture doesn't jibe with "style unis," then you wind up losing your opener to Boise State and looking ridiculous doing it...

Where are the Dawgs fans when your chumming the threads for 'em?
