09:04 AM ET 11.10 | Hall of Fame coach Don Shula weighed in on the controversy surrounding the Miami Dolphins involving suspended offensive guard Richie Incognito. In Shula's opinion, Incognito should have never been signed and was a character risk not worth taking. "You win with good people on and off the field," Shula told The Miami Herald. "They took a chance on a guy with a bad reputation, and it backfired on them."

Everyone is a genius in hindsight Don.

Don will be put to bed before this story ever is.

There's profit and then there's profit. Every coach wants an Art Tatum, a Ronnie Lott, even a Brandon Meriweather, but then when the lights go fully illuminating the totality of the "nasty" player, the coaches, etc. go scuttling to the shadows like cockroaches. This coach who had some "nasty" players himself - and Richie ii that - is a hypocrite. Be prepared for more of the near-dead pontificating 72 Dolphins to get rolled out one after the other like Jeremy Bentham's box.

Yup, I was just going to say that everyone is 100% with their hindsight right now.
