09:52 AM ET 11.10 | ESPN radio host and frequent "College GameDay" contributor Paul Finebaum said there is no chance Nick Saban leaves Alabama for Texas, during his daily radio show Friday afternoon. "I've covered a lot of stories in my career, but I will say that this is the most manufactured, fabricated, idiotic and insane story I've ever covered," Finebaum said. "It really drives me crazy on the air trying to say he's not going there. I cannot guarantee that Saban will stay at Alabama. He may retire. He may go do something else. "But -- I probably shouldn't be doing this -- I will put my entire career and what little money I have to say that he is not going to the University of Texas."

#1 paid coach flirting with the school that has the #2 highest paid coach.

Sounds like a negotiating tactic to me. He's not going anywhere, he's just maxing out his pay.

Finebaums career is already on whether or not Saban goes to Texas.

November 10, 2013  10:33 AM ET

If Saban left the SEC then Finebalm would have to find another fanbase to orally satisfy in order to keep a job. He's made a career out of being a homer.

I do too!!! I'm going to stir the pot a little this morning. LUS was right when he predicted the Stanford win over Oregon, it's going to be iinteresting to see where Stanford ends up in the BCS poll today.. Kudos to Bama, they looked damn good last night. It's going to be interesting when the BCS polls come out today. IMO, it's about time to give Wisconsin, Zona State and Texas some credit. I look for LSU, Notre Dame and maybe Miami to fall out of the top.

Okay now that we got some fresh and relevant (SEC) material to post on this am, where are we at now that week 11 is in the books?

Okay I will go first and post my musings on what I think we have learned ytd.

First: The two best (and most deserving teams) to play for the NC are FSU and Bama. I won't go into who is #1 or 2, I will just posit that they are the 2 teams to play for the crystal at this point. If they run their tables and go undefeated this is one bucknut you will not find beeotching on these boards.

Stanford is clearly the best one loss team in the country. Missouri right behind.

S Carolina is the best two loss team in the country.

Conference rank: tough to call, but I will go with SEC, PAC 12 as the #1 & 2 with B1G, ACC, Big 12 next. Beyond that I don't rank.

Notre Dame will lose its next 2 games to finish with 5 losses. Baylor will not run the gauntlet and finish undefeated.

Fresno St is this year's N ILL. IOW, a total fraud who will be exposed against anybody in a BCS game.

Wisconsin is a team that I am glad my Buckeyes do not have to play again.

The Longhorn Network could use a good shill.

And nobody shills for the man better than Paul.

I heard they were looking for a good aPaulogist.

Until now, I didn't care if Saban went to Texas or not. Now I do.

Paul Finebaum, is that you?

Texas A&M for sure is better and I would say UCLA is better, maybe even Wisconsin. Scar has one signature win, one signature loss and not much else impresses me at the moment.

November 10, 2013  10:57 AM ET

Saban must have a buyout clause with Finebaum.

As for top 1 loss teams, AU is starting to make a case too. They are in the mix. Next couple of weeks should show us something.

Good post!!!! I especially like the last part where you stated, "Wisconsin is a team that I am glad my Buckeyes do not have to play again". IMO, I think the Badgers would give South Carolina a good run at being the "best two loss team" in the nation.

November 10, 2013  11:02 AM ET

And I would still pick oregon over mizzou but that's just me.

Harley, I will take the heat but for me its the eyeball test. Watching Bama just run the ball down LSU's throat in the second half I had to honestly ask myself, "could we stop that attack"?

If Bux played Bama it would be comparable to Bama/TAM game. We would have to be a shootout with us catching a break to win.

Both Bama and FSU have a much better front 7 than us. Though we could score on them both, in the end our defense (though young and getting better each week) is not the equal of their defenses.

GTH, he said "as of today". There is still quite a bit of football to be played. Bama still has to play Auburn and then the SEC CG. The game between USC and Stanford should be interesting this coming weekend :-)
