10:02 AM ET 11.10 | The Blue Jays are all but certain to make offers for free agent starting pitchers Ervin Santana and Ubaldo Jimenez. Neither will come cheap, in the $15 million a year range on long-term deals. The Jays are one of 10 big league teams who could sign either without losing a first-round pick.

How would they not lose a 1st round pick? Is it being ib the top 9 or something like that?

AA is a total joke as a GM. Cheaping out in that department is killing the Jays.

Let someone else waste their money.... Most FA's this year are not worth what they will get...

I guess the Jays didn't learn from this last season?

So where were all you at the beginning of the season? You hate AA now but there weren't any negative comments from fans or experts in the off season last year. So you don't want these guys then who? you can't move forward with the staff as is can you? Its just money, and not mine so who cares -take a flier and hope for the best? If it stops you from making other moves that are beneficial then maybe hold off - if not then who cares?
