07:13 AM ET 11.11 | If one were to take a guess as to who holds a grudge pretty well, intense Kevin Garnett might come to mind, and he's joined by Paul Pierce in holding out on former teammate Ray Allen. "They haven't spoken to me," Allen said before [Saturday] night's game. ... Allen admittedly is hurt, because he doesn't understand the difference between their trade out of Boston last summer and his decision to leave two years ago. Deep down, Allen believes Pierce and Garnett determined their own fate. "For them to be so upset with me is disappointing because of how everything happened," Allen said. "That banner in 2008 is still going to be there, and we're still going to be tied to it. Look, I have a feeling they were in the same predicament I was in this summer."

Haha - Truth of the matter is they both stink right now:

Nets - Need Deron Williams Healthy - I said in the preseason if his ankles don't heal the Nets are done - Also Kidd as a rookie coach who is good friends with D-Will poses potential problems.

Knicks - Defense and ISO ball - They have to play better individual defense and less ISO ball or will continue to struggle until Chandler is back at full strength.

Sometimes you just have to say a team does not have the talent to be much better than they are playing.

How does Allen not see the difference in situations?
These guys were traded to a pretender team that wasn't a threat to anyone.
He chose to sign as a free agent with a hated Boston rival.

C'mon Ray, its not hard to see the difference.

Man I don't see how anybody can backup KG and Pierce, they are hypocrites. Ray Allen was dangled to be traded by Ainge a few times. So it is ok for him to go to any team besides the Heat? That makes no sense and apply this logic to your everyday life and it makes even less sense. Your boss says your work has been moved to X location then cancels and says nevermind you still work here. Are you saying you are still loyal to that company after that? Come on now get real. Why should Allen choose his employment location based off what the team that fired/traded him wants no sense.

KG could have refused to be traded he could have retired. Why didn't he just retire or just go down with the ship that wanted to trade him?

Bingo., KG and Pierce are hypocrites.

Maybe so. But why does Ray keeping crying about it over and over again? Jeez can't he just not comment or talk about other topics? Grow a pair Ray, and enjoy your last season.

KG and Pierce need to grow up and stop acting like spoiled children. They're all grown men and as veterans of the league should realize that this is a BUSINESS, and that at the end of the day, each man has to do what is best for himself and his family. Grow up and be men!

not condoning anything, but there is a CLEAR difference in the situations. Tell me how they're the same. I'll listen.

My argument: leaving via trade vs leaving via free agency is not the same thing.

I agree my friend but you have to give teams time to mesh and six-eight games in my estimation is not enough of a sample size to say they are as bad or good as people think they currently are...

The Nets are going to be a scary team come the postseason.

Your comment leads me believe you are upset with the team he chose, more than the fact he left. You mention the hated rival I mean come on now. Did KG leave or get traded? KG chose to be traded when he didn't have to. He had a right to say no to a trade and stay So he left on his own terms we are talking semantics it makes no difference. He is a hypocrite, he left as Allen left when he could have stayed. He could have went down with the "ship"/ Celtics. Allen said " ok you want to dangle me I will choose where I go"
