Sixers' set on dealing Turner

07:15 AM ET 11.11 | Is Philly ready to deal? [The 76ers] could have a friend in the Dallas Mavericks. Entering the season, the Sixers seemed intent on making this the first year of a rebuilding plan. That may have changed a little with their early and somewhat surprising competitiveness. If not, or if the Sixers start to slide, they have the type of younger veteran pieces the Mavericks seemingly covet. The name mentioned most as potential trade bait entering the season: Sixers swingman Evan Turner. ... Word around the NBA is if the Sixers are, in fact, set on trading Turner, the Oklahoma City Thunder and Minnesota Timberwolves would try to put themselves in the mix. Sixers small forward Thaddeus Young is also off to a blazing start. He too is likely to draw interest around the trade deadline (if not sooner).

Where Did The Love Go, Bro?

I'd rather Dallas gets him, OKC let Harden go, they failed to resign Kev Martin so clearly they aren't even smart enough to get a trade to acqiure Turner...

Minny could get him also: Rubio,Kevin Martin,Turner,Love,Pekovic

November 11, 2013  09:39 AM ET

Wow have the tables turned now. The difference in Turner is the confidence and he abilty to finish at the basket. That said I don't want to lose him because I think he would be a nice 2nd option as he is on the Iggy lite version minus vertical and top defense. Unless these teams have picks from other teams that are from lottery bound teams I am not with it.

I really don't know his value. Is he more valuable than someone like Shumpert?

Uh I would say it depends on the need/ system. Turner can play 1-3 and distributes better than Shumpert. I would have Turner ahead of Shumpert, but Shumpert plays better overall defense. Turner has the abiity to rebound really well. He knows how to play with the ball to set others up so he can play with shooters

Minny is damn near maxed out. They can't afford him. Plus, they have Corey Brewer and he's their SF that is main defender. Plus, he's averaging 15ppg.

turner is also significantly taller than shump.- thing with shump is he had that bad knee injury- so is he 100%?I don't think he is, so I think his progress is a bit delayed.

Turner is 6-7 and Shump is 6-5.

Significantly taller?

He isn't the defender Shump is, but he's a very nice scorer, rebounder and passer.

Turner is playing well and helping Philly win games.
They gotta get rid of him NOW, he's spoiling their strategy.
