07:13 AM ET 11.12 | Quarterback Peyton Manning, though he may miss some practice time this week, is expected to face the Chiefs this coming weekend, but likely not at 100 percent. The Broncos have asked the league to review the hit San Diego defensive end Corey Liuget delivered to [Manning] on Sunday. "We turned it in," said Jack Del Rio, the Broncos' interim head coach and full-time defensive coordinator. "We'll let the league determine. We thought it was questionable and they'll provide their answer." Manning went down clutching the area just above his right ankle after he was forcibly hit by Liuget late in the Broncos' 28-20 win against the San Diego Chargers. A magnetic resonance imaging exam showed an aggravation of Manning's right high ankle sprain, but no new significant damage.

Would be a 4 game suspension if Suh had hit him like that. Looked very much like what took Brady out for a season.

RGIII gets hit like that at least a dozen times a game... Please quit whining Peyton. Whining makes your annual departure from the playoffs more anticipated.

Good comment and totally agree. Peyton and the Bronocs are just whining!!!! Peyton if he had any gonads, would have came out and said it "was a good clean hit". I'm getting tired of these QBs complaining, now if it was a dirty hit, then that is different. Del Rio is a defensive coach and played defense in his career, he shlould know better than to come across as a friggin whiner!!!

If ever football reaches the point where you can't grab a QB and tackle him by his legs, I officially will stop being a fan of the sport.

Peyton better work on that quick release in practice this week.

November 12, 2013  09:00 AM ET

Peyton should be thankful he didn't go high and break his freaking neck...again...

Is their a double stander in the NFL? If Suh hit him like what I seeing Suh would have been finished for the year or kick out of the league. The tackle at the end of the game was a low hit to take Manning out and that player should get hit by a big fine and should have to set out two games like the league did to Suh. To the Suh haters their are a lot of worst and dirty players than Suh but they get away with it.

By The End O's The Season, he will be worn out like he was last year! The only Quarterback to win The Super Bowl at his age was John Elway, who was injury free and he did it twice!

That's not exactly the standard to which we should be comparing any quarterback

Well maybe if RG III learns to stay in the pocket he wouldn't get hit so much. Oh yeah...what the hell does RG III have to do w/ Manning? Those two shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence.

We are comparing QBs taking hits, not SB rings!!!!

Why not, does Peyton get a pass on taking "clean" hits?????

IMO, this is the comment of the day. I am so friggin tired of QBs whining!!!! If Manning, who has played for 14+ seasons can't take a good clean hit, then it's time to get his A--S--S out of football!!!!

He does get hit in the pocket dummy... You probably don't know from watching Jason Campbell light it up weekly. Have fun.

If I said Joe Flacco, perhaps.

A hit is a hit, and a QB is a QB.

Weren't they both ROYs?

Not Peyton Manning. His rookie year was 1998. The offensive ROY in '98 was Randy Moss.
