07:31 AM ET 11.12 | Newly-minted Montreal mayor Denis Coderre didn't take long to make his first public mistake as the office relates to its famous hockey team. While watching Sunday's game between his beloved Canadiens and the New York Islanders, Coderre, the former MP who was just elected Nov. 3, criticized the play of struggling forward David Desharnais. "Hello? Can we get a one-way ticket to (AHL affiliate) Hamilton for David Desharnaid please ..." he tweeted. Max Pacioretty was not amused. "I'm very, very upset about that," the Habs forward told reporters. "What, do you think he's going coach our team tomorrow? That's embarrassing." He added: "To bring down a player -- such a great person, such a great player, such a hard worker ... Davey's a true competitor and he's a great player and a great teammate."

Could be worse Max, you could be playing for Toronto and have their mayor represent your town.

so funny and so pathetic that a bunch of millionaires find it in themselves to get all hurt about what some overweight mouthpiece thinks. And of course little Davey couldn't come out and defend himself. The man is as pathetic in life as he is in hockey.

As messed as it sounds, Montreal's mayors are infinitely worse than anything Toronto has thrown out. They're like the Illinois governor's office of Canada.

My guess Tom is that if they molded it to exact specifications so much plastic would have been used they'd retail for about $984.00 each.
