Lions want consistency from Nick Fairley

03:33 PM ET 11.12 | Detroit Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley came up big on the Chicago Bears final offensive play in Week 10. The Bears needed to successfully convert a two-point conversion to tie the game in the final minutes, but Fairley shot through the line and blew up running back Matt Forte. Fairley has been making big plays for the Lions defense all season, but head coach Jim Schwartz would still like to see some consistency from the former first-round pick. If Fairley can reach the level of consistency that the team is hoping to see out of him, the Lions would be able to continue adding on to their NFC North lead and fierce defensive line.

You can see these guys a mile away... He'll get his big contract after his rookie contract is up and he'll be finished.

They've got three 1st round picks on that defensive line:
- Ndamukong Suh
- Nick Fairley
- Ziggy Ansah

That defensive line doesn't play up to expectations.

"Lions want consistency from Nick Fairley"

Can somebody explain that word to him? He doesn't have a clue what it means. Never heard it before.

Inconsistency - and lack of discipline - both hallmarks of the Schwartz regime will sink them before on in the playoffs.
