07:15 AM ET 11.14 | A blockbuster may soon be on the way to Broadway, with the stars to be determined. The New York Knicks have discussed numerous potential trade scenarios featuring guard Iman Shumpert to bolster their injury-depleted front line, but no deal is imminent, according to sources close to the process. Sources told ESPN.com on Tuesday that the Knicks and Nuggets have been discussing a potential Shumpert-for-Kenneth Faried swap with Denver. Yet, one source close to the process stressed that "multiple" teams have expressed interest in Shumpert. ... NBA.com subsequently reported that there is "nothing happening" regarding the proposed trade, with Yahoo! Sports reporting that the Nuggets have assured Faried's representatives that he's not New York-bound.

Come To LA, Bro.

Why would Denver do it? There are other teams who would give more for Faried. Shumpert is good but he is no game changer. If he was than NY won't be trading him.

The way Shumpert's name is thrown around, you think his a franchise player. But once again the New York media and Knicks fans of overvaluing players that play for the Knicks.

LOL..and bench player fareed is a game changer......multiple teams are interested in Shump, b/c he is good...he is lockdown wing defender, and has an emerging offensive game...Shump is a piece for the future and it not exactly like fareed will put them over the top this year anywayKEEP SHUMP

Jgb thinks he is just a bench player.

Faried is what the Doctor ordered for NY.

NY is loaded with SG's. without Chandler, they need defense and rebounding.

Shump is very good. I love his overall game but NY lost a big piece when Chandler went down.

and why does denver want to trade him?

Denver is messing their whole team up. They keep trying to emphasize running the Triangle Offense and it's killed the strength of this team and made their offense stagnate. You can see it on the players faces. My guess is they want a PF or C that is more offensive minded to fit what they want to do. Faried puts up double doubles consistently without a play ever being ran for him. The kid just needs to be put in the right system.

Which makes a guy like Faried perfect for them. He'd clean up more then half of Melo's misses each game and give the Knicks an inside presence defensively they so desperately need. That's about 20 and 10 a night based on Melo's and Smith's misses alone.
