07:28 AM ET 11.14 | As among most hockey fans, there was no shortage of opinions in the Bruins' dressing room when asked about the possibility of change coming to the way the NHL settles its tie scores. Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask went one step further, and suggested the GMs do away with the oft-discussed shootout. ... "I wouldn't mind [getting rid of the shootout.] It doesn't have anything to do with the game you just played. It's just so dramatic when you lose," said Rask. "As a goalie it's tough to accept that it's not all your fault if you lose. I don't know. As a viewer I'm a fan of the shootout, but when you're in it, it's not that cool." ... "They're trying to make these new rules every year, it seems like. Whether it's goalie pads or [smaller] nets, or whatever. I wouldn't be surprised if we play 2-on-2," Rask said.

"I also don't like it when my team trades away a guy who is going to be one of the NHL's best players in a couple of years, then he comes back into our barn and scores the shootout winner. Who did we even get back for him?"

We got a nightmare

I will never forget the game I saw when there was a 3-on-3. The players didn't know what the hell to do. It was hysterical!

I have seen exactly one of them.

And it was last year when I made the Haj to go see Datsyuk play the Canucks near the end of the season.

So it was live and the Canucks won.....

It sucked.

I dont like them either, Tuukka

IF the Nat Ho League MUST change - two choices: 1) The way it was - no OT, 1 point each, 2) three minutes four on four, then 5 minutes of three on three - two points to the team that scores SD, 0 points to the loser - if it stays tied, one point each. Simple as dimples.

The shootout, the result, or both?

November 14, 2013  10:54 AM ET

I think all real hockey fans hate it...it's oner of Dwarfus Horribilius' worst moves. It's, as noted...drama. That's it. Yet another lame attempt to lure the "casual fan" the ESPN crowd, the coors/budweiser morons

10 minutes 4 on 4 , nothing changes each take 1 point and hit the showers.

Both.

My daughter wouldn't let me leave. I wanted to maintain my perfect record.

By the way, what do you think caused Christensen's liver disease? Roids? Booze? I say this realizing he was a BYU guy and potentially Mormon?

Maybe if they weren't guaranteed the loser point they'd try harder to win in OT.

He was a Mormon, so he absconded from alcoholic beverages. One of his sons said that he had developed liver complications from a botched gall bladder surgery about 25 yrs ago.
