05:30 AM ET 02.19 | In reviewing a 2007 season that was filled with unexpected twists and turns, Patriots coach Bill Belichick acknowledged that the pain still lingers from losing Super Bowl XLII. "Sure," he said. "It's hard to think of 18-1 as being a disappointing season. It is. We had our chances, but in the end . . . We just needed to make one more play somewhere along the line and we just weren't able to do it." As of Sunday evening, Belichick had yet to watch a tape of the Patriots' 17-14 loss to the Giants. He plans to do so at some point.

I still cant believe Eli Manning won the superbowl... the same guy who set the record for the most incompletions in a game...

C'mon Belichuck....there were a bunch of teams that just needed to make "one more play"....this past season.

The Ravens - for one.

You got your hat handed to you.
Choked on the big one.
Left at the altar.

That is what happened.....oh, I am sorry, I forgot:

The greatest loss EVER in sports history.

Y'all just listen to Mercury Morris and he will remind you guys.............

I'm sorry, so sorry
That I was such a fool
I didn't know
The fans could be so cruel
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Uh-oh
Oh, yes

You tell me mistakes
Are part of being young
But that don't right
The wrong that's been done

Bond, every single time you mouth off about the Patriots choking, you are telling all of the Giants and their fans that they didn't win that game and that the Patriots gave it to them.
The Patriots didn't choke, the Giants played better and won the game.
Way to insult fans of both bases. Dork.

save yourself the postage. I'll send him mine. I cant watch it either

February 19, 2008  08:11 AM ET

He doesn't need to watch the film to know what happened. He knew that day...It was a game of will and the Giants played like they wanted it more...Just my opinion..

February 19, 2008  08:17 AM ET

I agree 50yr
doesnt make it any easier to watch though.

February 19, 2008  08:22 AM ET

Even after Belichick classing it up and wearing sleeves, the Pats still got stomped out.

they dont play them reg season jc, so it would have to be in the SB if they meet again next year
and sacked, I dont think 17-14 is a stomping. It was a fought for win by the Giants.

lol so Bellicheat found one game tape that he doesn't want to watch. Maybe he'd watch it if somebody told him they secretly taped it on the field.

*makes mental note of Hooah's prediction and files away* ... my filing system is similar to the Dallas DA's system ... lol

Hahahah...good one JC. And good morning to you and everyone else. Yeah, saw that teh conspiracy buffs were salivating when they found those documents. However, it's already been nipped in the bud. The guy that claimed Ruby and Oswald conspired to kill Kennedy only passed two questions on his lie detector test; are you an alcoholic and do you drink a lot. Funny.
