07:29 AM ET 11.14 | David Booth continues to believe -- in a higher power and in his own game. Booth acknowledged Wednesday he has leaned heavily on his faith to get through what have been two frustrating years with the Vancouver Canucks. Most recently, it helped him deal with his conditioning stint with the Utica Comets of the American Hockey League. ... [Head coach John Tortorella], whose frustration with Booth's play has been evident, sounded Wednesday like he's ready to give him a second chance. "David had to agree to it," Tortorella said of Booth's conditioning stint. "It shows me and the organization that he wants to get better. He just hasn't played and I think he needs reps and he got reps down there. We got some good reports, so I just want him to let himself go and play because he's a pretty good player."

Just how long before the real Torts shows up? Something about a leopard and spots comes to mind.

A litany of injuries will sap a players confidence.

I lean on my faith while rooting for the Caps as well. Every night the first period starts with a prayer. "Oh God, please don't let Holtby get in a fight and don't let Green get hurt while skating back to the bench". Often works (during the regular season).

I wish he would hurry up and start coaching away all potential as he did in New York , The waiting is becoming annoying.

Three Fingers may have let him out of the Booth but, he's still on a leash.

I hear you, HC. We're not getting the entertainment value we expected here.

ouch....IDK, Harry...Have you seen Dan Girardi this season?

He was great in the shot-blcoking D first Torts system; this year under AV...horrible.

I don't believe the players are aware yet. But they will be.
