01:19 AM ET 11.15 | The Minnesota Vikings spent a first-round pick on wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson in the 2013 NFL Draft and he has been making splashes throughout the season. Whether it be in the return game or as a dynamic player after the catch, Patterson is showing those skills that made him a top pick. Of course, as soon as the Vikings drafted Patterson shortly after trading away Percy Harvin to the Seattle Seahawks, the comparisons between the two came. However, Patterson isn't having any of it. Patterson could be getting his first start of the season on Sunday against the Seahawks in the game where Percy Harvin could be making his return. This could be fun to watch as the two men attempt to one-up each other as the game goes on.

One major difference.... still injury and concussion free.

Unless the call is "End around" I don't think we'll see all that many touches by CP. They're still missing a QB.

And I'm sure Patterson isn't a problem case in the locker room (yet).

CP is the NFL's best kick returner. He leads the league in average kickoff return with an avg of 35.2 yards. He leads the NFL in total kickoff return yards with 845. He has more kickoff return TDs than everyone else in the NFL combined.

He is big (6'2" and 220lbs), fast, physical, and elusive. If he develops as a wide receiver, watch out, because he will be great at getting yards after the catch. Minnesota's QB situation is no worse than last year (hello, I'm Joe Webb, and I'm going to be a starting QB in the playoffs today, and playing wide receiver next year), but a big problem with their offense is that they don't have the explosiveness of Percy Harvin to keep defenses off of Adrian Peterson. CP has struggled to establish himself as a receiver, but if last week's showing by Tavon Austin meant anything, there is still time to make an impact.
