01:26 AM ET 11.15 | According to reports, Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin will return to the Steel City for an eighth season in 2014. The Steelers won last week against the Buffalo Bills, but sit at just 3-6 on the season. Still, Tomlin holds a sterling 66-39 record with Pittsburgh and won the 2008 Super Bowl in just his second year as head coach - which apparently will be good enough to keep him around another season. The Steelers have never finished below .500 during his tenure, but that streak is in serious jeopardy this year.

Pitt doesn't drop coaches. Nearly 50 years and Chef is on HC #3.

Getting rid of Arians was a colossal error. He needs to fix that, Haley shouldn't remain on that staff.

Agreed. Haley will be the one to go, not Tomlin.

I think Mike Tomlin is a good coach.

But I believe Dick LeBeau is the real reason that Tomlin has a Super Bowl ring... same goes for Bill Cowher's SB ring.

He was given about half a deck to play with this year and it's not like there are a lot of good alternatives out there that would make a difference with what they have.

Steelers have had 3 coaches in my lifetime... And I'm no spring chicken. Tomlin is safe.

It would be beyond stupid to not keep him. Just look how well Jerry has done since he threw Jimmy out of Dallas.

I'm surprised Haley Haley got this job to begin with.

The players he won the SB with, where Cowhers players .......now that them players are getting old and some have moved on......Tomlin can't get the same type/quality of personnel

Jim Zorn is waiting by the phone.

November 15, 2013  10:17 AM ET

need to get rid of Tomlin, Haley, Kevin Colbert, and a bunch of non performing players, Hood, Clark, and this new fool of a punter to start....Tomlin only won with Cowher's team, his drafting has been all losers, 90% of whom didn't make or stay on the team...

Haley is the fly in the ointment.First thing he did was alienate Roethlisberger.

Ben was BFF with Arians, because Arians let him do as he pleased like Peyton Manning. I never was an Arians fan he called a pretty vanilla offense, but gave Ben the OK to audible out at will and run the no huddle. Ben was pissed they got rid of Arians, and Haley ran a tighter ship, all in all, I think the news of their infighting was highly exaggerated by the press. None the less , Haley has shown to be a POS off the field, and not good on the field, so he will be whacked by the Rooneys at the end of this season.( unless the Steelers win the SB) but there needs to be a lot more changes coming also.
