Titans giving up on Locker

07:26 AM ET 11.15 | Spurred by Jake Locker's season-ending injury, the Tennessee Titans will have to make a decision on their quarterback's future before the draft rolls around. It's quite the conundrum: Locker has a checkered injury history, and there will be an abundance of premium quarterback prospects available at Tennessee's draft slot. A team source tells NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport that the Titans believed they finally had found their franchise quarterback after Locker's impressive half versus the Jets in Week 4, only to watch him go down with serious hip, knee and foot injuries. Realizing they no longer can count on Locker to start all 16 games in a season, the Titans now are "undecided about how to proceed" with their injured starter, per Rapoport.

Ryan Fitzpatrick was 22 for 28 in a losing cause. His 49 on the Wonderlic baffles opposing defenses, who didn't know that numbers went up that high.

He's just one of those guys that can't get a team over the hump.

He is the definition of a backup and nothing more.

I saw a clip of the interview he did when he was just joining the NFL where he tells the reporter: "I'm on another level, Dawg".

Well, he is on a level all by himself right now... I guess that counts.

Hire Lovie Smith and sign Jay Cutler then move up in the draft and get Jadeveon Clowney.

Backup or not, Fitzpatrick shredded a Colts' defense that had shut down Peyton Manning. Go figure. Titans kick returner holds on to the ball and they win. Colts are winning, but they are struggling.

Locker is a china doll. When he gets a season ending injury with no contact, that's the final red flag.
