07:36 AM ET 11.15 | He's back -- well, Mitch McGary is close. After the revelation that McGary was doing individual drills last week for the first time since his lower back condition surfaced in early September, the sophomore preseason All-American may be close to returning to game action, as U-M coach John Beilein said [Thursday] "it probably will happen very quickly." Beilein has said he has a timetable that he wouldn't share publicly, but now that McGary's working, the process seems to have accelerated. Speaking on a conference call promoting next week's Puerto Rico Tip-Off, Beilein dropped the hint. "We're waiting for McGary's return," Beilein said. "Still do not know when it's going to be, when it will happen. It will probably happen very quickly, and we are just waiting to make sure that everything is right."

They better hope its before Dec 3rd if Michigan has any hopes of competing. In Durham they are going to need all the help they can get to achieve a respectable loss.

Did you enjoy watching the Final Four last year and that fantastic Final of Michigan vs Louisville?

This kid had a strong run during last year's NCAA run. Michigan made the B1G look good. I hope he can get back to that level, but back problems have a way of reoccurring.
