07:37 AM ET 11.15 | For now, anyway, Maty Mauk's days as Missouri's starting quarterback are over. [But] he's not done playing this season. Mauk, who guided No. 9 Mizzou (9-1, 5-1 SEC) to three wins in four starts, will continue to get playing time the rest of the season even though senior James Franklin will resume his starting role Nov. 23 at Ole Miss, Tigers coach Gary Pinkel said. ... "Maty will definitely play. There's no question about that," Pinkel said on the SEC teleconference. "He's certainly earned the right to do that. It's a very positive situation. We'll determine how much (he plays) when we get in that phase of game week." Franklin made his first post-injury appearance in the fourth quarter of Saturday's 48-17 win at Kentucky, taking five snaps over two series.

Another great Buckeye QB

I would start Mauk until he falters...

And bring in Franklin every few series to make sure he is ready

[Deep thrumming chords from the string section] Does this development foretell the fall of Mizzou in Oxford?

I say let Mauk transfer to UF, and start this week. I hear our team doctors and trainers are all asking for massive raises due to the huge workload.

smh

Exactly.

Mauk is doing a great job, brings something extra, and the team has momentum with him behind center. No reason to derail that train.

Replace Clemson with UVA and Purdue with Cal Berkley and you might have something.
