Report: Rockets want frontline player for Omer Asik

08:57 AM ET 11.16 | In an effort to unload disgruntled center Omer Asik, the Houston Rockets have engaged in trade talks with multiple teams and are demanding an impact player in return, league sources told Yahoo Sports. Rival executives say that Rockets general manager Daryl Morey has been active in discussing possible deals for Asik, but his asking price has been too high so far. Morey has been willing to accommodate Asik's summertime trade request, but has found little traction on possible deals. Unless a team is willing to give the Rockets a frontline player who can help them win in the short-term, Morey is open to acquiring a largely unprotected first-round pick in the loaded 2014 NBA draft, sources said.

Mavs lost last night in a very close game w/ Lebron almost playing a perfect game. Lakers also lost at home in a very high scoring game....

Can't! Gotta wait for awhile because AB just got traded. I think there is a 3 months wait period before he can get traded again

Houston will not come out good on this end. Asik is good but I don't see teams giving up a first round pick from next year. They need another disgruntled player (PF) to make this work and fit into salary cap restrictions and that team also would need a center. I think they should try to get Milsap if they can if Atlanta is willing to deal. I think that is the best that they can do.

isn't that from when he was traded ? or is it from the start of the seasonregardless....whats your thought?

Would be perfect for both teams. They both get what they need. AB to open the paint for Dwight. Asik for Ny defense and rebounding.

What do you do with Chandler? Asik ends up disgruntled behind Chandler in NY now instead of Dwight in Houston.Asik makes big money next year. Does NY really want to pay him and Chandler both?

Twin towers baby!

Where's DJ? I warned him not to pump his chest too much because he's just embarrassing himself. Ssssssshhhhhhh DJ!

I wish the Mavs would pick up Lionel Hollins as an assistant coach and he would take care of defense.... C'mon Cuban pick him up now just like Indiana picked up Nate McMillan.

Embarrassing myself? Because, I believe in my team that is playing fairly well?

What happened to the Lakers being better without Kobe? LOL.

I believe I warned everyone in NY about Bargnani. He's softer than over cooked pasta.
