09:12 AM ET 11.16 | The Cal football player who instigated a locker room altercation that sent teammate Fabiano Hale to the hospital with a concussion has been suspended indefinitely, the schools announced Friday. Hale, 18, was injured during the Nov. 1 incident at a Cal athletic facility adjacent to Memorial Stadium. The freshman was taken to Cal's Tang medical center and then transported to Alta Bates Medical Center for treatment. The incident remains part of an ongoing investigation by the UC Berkeley Police Department. The Alameda County district attorney has not filed charges, and the name of the suspended player has not been released by the school.

Yeah, someone needs to toughen up these Cal football players. They are way too soft. :-)

Cal (1-9) is having a rough season. Now this.

They can show us what they got by winning against Colorado on the road, cuz the last game of the yr is an L to the trees.

When you have more athletic facilities than wins something had to give.

Now any Cal Tech student knows it is the one who was out there last week but isn't his week and not the one with the beat up face and limp who just got released from a hospital. They be smart.

OK, but it is still 4th grade arithmetic.

They showed you and boy do they stink. Ironic that they lost to the coach they should have hired. The athletic director blows: knows nothing about football and thought that Sonny D.'s commitment to offense would provide the circus that would fill the seats. Don't look for Bears to be other than cellar-dwellers next year. Sonny D. is recruiting for Cal in TX!!! Good match? Hard to be a Bears fan.

They got nothin'. I watched a linebacker shy away from tackling a USC second string running back. Blew right past him, with him waving. Worse than with Tedford.
