09:30 AM ET 11.16 | A day after Jets defensive coordinator Dennis Thurman said Ed Reed wouldn't start Sunday, head coach Rex Ryan confirmed the newly acquired free safety will definitely suit up and play against the Bills, and his duties could change depending upon how the game and situations dictate. "He'll be ready to roll," Ryan said. "[We're] definitely going to play him. We definitely have a plan for Ed. Can we alter it? Absolutely. We'll see what happens. During the course of the game, if there are things where we think he'd give us our best opportunity, then we'll definitely look at that."

Rex started growing up when he stopped guaranteeing Super Bowl wins.

Seriously. Ed Reed probably knows the Rex Ryan defense better than half the Jets who have played it all year. He spent six years with it and Rex in Baltimore. It is not a brain thing, it is a body thing.

Hmmmmm, let's see. Usually stupid is to the bone, if he has a decent season and isn't sacked, my guess is he'll be in prediction mode before too long.

At the beginning of September, I'd have joked about whatever plan he had for employment next season. At this point if he's not careful, he might just save his job.

The GM is the wild card, but Woody seems to like Rex and Rex has come up with some unexpected wins.

My question is why did Reed jump on the jets team so quickly
