10:42 AM ET 11.16 | Adrian Peterson called a meeting with his five offensive linemen late last month at Winter Park. They didn't know what to think. "He pulled us aside and said, 'I want to meet with you guys for about five minutes after the walk-through,' '' guard Brandon Fusco said. "We felt it was a little unusual. He'd never really pulled us aside before.'' The Vikings' star running back had his linemen step into the parking lot. Before their eyes was Peterson's Arctic Cat snowmobile. He told the linemen each would receive one of his own soon. "I had no clue,'' Fusco said. "It was exciting. What a great gift.'' The snowmobiles were Peterson's thank you for helping with his banner 2012 season, when he rushed for 2,097 yards, the second-most in NFL history. It took some time for Peterson to get the gifts in order because each snowmobile was custom made, with each lineman's name.

With all of the kids we learned AP has, he might want to exhibit a little frugality.

I'm sure he's investing a lot of his money. I don't think he's as stupid as most athletes.

Seven kids by 5 different women. You can't invest when you have 5 lawyers going after you. You can keep it afloat while the NFL checks are coming in, but there is a reason something like 80% of pro athletes are nearly or totally broke within 2 years of leaving the field.

Really? How many does he have?

Kidding aside, he pays.

Really? I heard about the kids, but where did you hear about lawyers going after him?

The snowmobiles are so they can still show up to block for him in the event of a blizzard.

They're playing outdoors the next two years while the new stadium is built. Snowmobiles will come in handy.
