Blue Jackets lose Marian Gaborik for at least a month

12:27 PM ET 11.16 | The Columbus Blue Jackets announced today that right-wing Marian Gaborik will miss four to six weeks with a left knee sprain. The injury occurred in the Blue Jackets' 3-2 loss to the Boston Bruins Thursday night. The Blue Jackets announced the injury through their official Twitter account Friday afternoon. Gaborik has five goals and six assists in 17 games this season. In his thirteen year career, the 31-year-old has 341 goals, 344 assists, and is a plus-90. Known as one of the game's most prolific snipers, he's scored 30 or more goals seven times in his career.

I feel bad for the Jackets and their fans. Columbus could be a hockey town if they ever iced a competitive team. They almost made the playoffs last year so expectations were high this year. But so far? Forget about it.
