Player's mom: Rutgers 'lied' about bullying case

09:57 AM ET 11.17 | Rutgers University officials are lying about how they handled a football player/s allegations he was bullied by a coach, the student's mom said Saturday. Defensive back Jevon Tyree has accused defensive coordinator Dave Cohen of calling him a "p---y" and "b---h" -- and threatening to head-butt him -- in a profanity-filled rant during a spring study-hall session. Rutgers, whose men's basketball coach Mike Rice was fired this year amid bullying allegations, said the football coach apologized the next day and Athletic Director Julie Hermann twice spoke to Tyree's father and "confirmed the matter was resolved to his satisfaction." But Clarice Tyree insists that the college "fabricated" the conversations -- and that Hermann has actually avoided meeting the family for weeks. "She has never had any contact with us," the mother told The Post. "It was a shock to see the university misrepresent this entire situation and print it as an official response. "When I sat and thought about it, I realized it's absolutely indicative of the lack of integrity that exists within that program."

OK FanNation this is ridiculous.

Another Jameis Winson thread
Another bullying thread
Another "Clowney is the first pick" thread on NFL boards

Where is the thread regarding the miracle at Auburn yesterday?
How about a story regarding USC's big victory?
Or Stanford's dwindling chances?
How Mississippi State played 'Bama tough and shut them out in the 2nd half?

GET A FREAKING CLUE!!!!!!!!!

Prime candidate for a thread hijacking, good Dr.

1) With Auburn's big win over UGA, who now thinks the War Eagles (or whatever their mascot is) will overcome the Evil Empire in the Iron Bowl?

2) Marqise Lee, IMHO, played the game of his career against Stanford last night. He made critical catches late in the game when he was essentially crippled and had no business being on the field.
You can't coach guts or desire. He'll do well in the NFL.

3) Somebody needs to throw in a GIF on the astonishing TD catch by UCF's J.J. Worton yesterday. It basically saved their rankings and their season.

USS...ITC...That was too easy, I want a harder puzzle.

Auburn has a chance... if they can run the ball like they have been.. Plus the game is in Auburn...

Eric Ward, from JRM's alma mater WF Ryder.

Hey, since Rutgers is about to join the B1G, ( we're all so proud) we could turn this into a B1G thread and talk about Sparty's win over the COC, and tOSU's win over the Illini.
Sparty won without the defense dominating the game. That's a good thing and a troubling thing. I'm sure Urban will see lots of things in that game film. On the other hand, the offense did some good things and so did the special teams.

Bama was down, but if the MSST WR's could have caught the ball better, that would have been a much different score...

As a dad of adult boys who luckily managed to escape injury playing football, that hit scared the crap out of me!

Your team played tough. I am not about to give 'Bama credit for "being down".

Stop bullying the kid, Mom.

Agree. Should have been flagged as he was leading with his helmet. Only reason it was not called was that the refs were stunned by sheer ferocity of it.
