08:34 PM ET 11.17 | Playing in a division with the Tampa Bay Rays, New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles isn't fun. You could conceivably win 80-plus games and yet still find yourself constantly finishing the season in last place, something the Toronto Blue Jays are well aware of. That's not to say the Jays haven't attempted to put forth an effort to win. They have. Money has been spent - talent his been brought in. But it just hasn't been enough, especially in the pitching department. Knowing this, the team has reportedly opened up their ears on potential Jose Bautista trades, with one National League general manager saying he "wouldn't be surprised" if Jose Bautista was available in a trade.

angels are in need for pitching, and even if they had wanted to trade for bautista their farm system its one of the worse in talent available,,,,,aside from that angels had never been lucky in trades, not even once....

I could see the Rangers having an interest.

One key reason the BJs don't win is they seem to refuse to spend what they can. They have a lock on an entire country's TV market and have all the financial resources they need. Yes, comparable to the Yankees and Red Sox. When they won in '92 and '93, they were either 1 or 2 in payroll. Now their corporation seems to be putting making a profit ahead of winning.

Go ahead, trade your best player and let the whining continue!

Trade the farm for a guy who has had two major season ending injuries in last two years? No thank you.
